Hellenic Petroleum Aspropyrgos has ordered a special EWD 8x6 Inch Control Replacement Valve to be installed during their shutdown in April 2004. The Fisher control valve EWD 8x6 Inch for hydrocarbon liquid, has been ordered to replace a former installed valve which was an EHD type 6 x 4 inch in special material stainless steel A351CF8C with stellited trim. The customer wanted to increase capacity to a CV of 400 on the existing valve which was not possible due to its capacity limitation.

To achieve this a new bigger valve was needed to replace the EHD 6x4 Inch with a larger Cv value coming close or exceeding the valvue of Cv 400. Emerson Process management sized a new EWD 8x6 Inch with a Cv max of 477 in SST (A351CF8C) which fitted perfectly.
