Sold and installed 95 complete marine Diesel propulsion systems of small and medium size, including shafting and propellers, corresponding to 85% of local market share.
Introduced Special Coatings and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection
He introduced and supervised the first applications of special coatings on Greek and foreign ships, and he made the first installations of Impressed Current Cathodic Protection Systems.
Introduced and applied tank Washing and Oil Pollution Cleaning Chemicals
Introduced the first applications of Automatic Tank Wash (Chemical Washing of Tankers' tanks for carrying grain or fresh water on return voyages), and Oil Spill Dispenser for fighting sea pollution.
Performed the first Oil Pollution Cleaning event by application of Oil Spill Dispenser in the Gulf of Scaramanga.
Second Hand Diesel Tonnage Brokerage and Conversions
Sold and Trained the Chief Engineers of Greek Ship Owners to take over 40 second hand Dieser powered Cargo Vessels.
Sold and Converted 2 German built Stream Trawlers to Diesel powered motor ships for Greek owners.
A great contribution to the continuing development of Hellenic Shipping in the Diesel Engine Propulsion and the switching from Steam to Diesel powered second hand tonnage sector, compared to none.
In 1969, he signed an exclusive representation service and licence agreement with the biggest worldwide Hatch Cover organization and in nine years he had fitted 85 new or retrofitted ships, with W/T Steel Hatch Covers fabricated in Greece, and another 430 new Greek ships built abroad, corresponding to 99% of market share.
Among work and studies George S. Kaminis receives his Mcs Degree as Matine and Electrical Engineer, and two years after his Phd degree in Economics.
KAMINCO SERVICES supplied and fitted Rubber Gaskets and Spare Parts to 3800 dry cargo ships and repaired over 400 W/T steel Hatch Cover sets.
P&I Clubs accept KAMINCO SERVISES repaired Hatch Covers without survey, which is unique in the world ship repair history.

Pioneers in introducing Incombustible Accommodation Partition Boards
Kaminco Services introduced and made the first installations of “Soft-Core” and later on “Hard-Core” Incombustible, Noise and Thermal Insulating Accommodation Partition Boards in Passenger and Cargo Ships converted and built in Greece.

Sotirios G. Kaminis, after nine years studies in the U.S.A., returns to Greece with a Msc degree in Aeronautics and Human Resaurces Management and a Phd degree in International Business Management. After he fulfills his service in the Hellenic Navy, he joins forces with his father George S. Kaminis, adding modern knowledge and power that reinforces KAMINCO capabilities to diversify and in other new technology horizons.

Fast Patrol Boat for the Hellenic Ministry of Finance
Design, construction, trials, delivery to the Financial and Economic Crimes Office (SDOE) of the Hellenic Ministry of Finance their biggest (47,3 m.) A/L 50, fitted with special FP Propellers. The most stable Patrol vessel (37 knots), sailing at sea state 9 with 25 knots. Today under the command of Greek Coast Guard with the insignia 050. Supported up to today with technical supervision and maintenance service.
