TYPE OAS-5
This is a complete system which can be delivered either as a single or as a dual point system. When delivered as a dual point system it is approved as two independent systems as required in the regulations.

The ALARM CABINET with ALARM PANEL.
Type OAS-5 is a complete signal monitoring and alarm unit which can be delivered for single or dual point sensors and is equipped with:
. Intrinsically safe connections to sensors.
. Potential free contacts for common external alarm light and horn.
. All normal alarm functions.
. «Alarm hold» function in order to avoid repeated alarms on the same measuring point.
. (Option.) RS 485/422 serial line communication with host computer.
. Mains supply from one or two AC fused circuits. Two required if dual point system because of the independence requirements.
. The Alarm Panel can either be mounted in the front door of the alarm cabinet or in a common console.
. The complete system can, according to requirement in the regulations,
be tested by the test knob on the sensor's connection box.
The SENSOR.
Type HL-8903 for one level and type HHL-8903 for two levels. This float type sensor works on a permanent magnet - reed switch principle, and the construction is unique with the following advantages:
. Will not be damaged when mounted close to a tank washing machine.
. Complete unit in stainless steel.
. Will not stick due to very small surface area between the float and the guides.
. Can handle high pressure, low density and high temperature.
. Can operate in any type of cargo which can be pumped.
. Has a lifting knob on top of the sensor connection box for testing.
. Fail to safe operation with closed contacts in normal position.
. Virtually the same alarm point for different cargo densities.
. Designed without any active electronic components in order to avoid problems when working in the open deck area. |
