Ships & Offshore

At FORCE Technology people are experts when it comes to design and test of ships, offshore structures and maritime facilities. For this purpose they have their own towing tank and wind tunnel facilities, where they among other things expose exact models and different types of ships and oilrigs to wave and wind actions. Furthermore Force makes use of sophisticated data software, including CFD, for calculation of the sequence of events. In the end, this thorough preliminary work contributes to saving you from a lot of needless costs in the actual construction and operation phase. Force offer their knowledge and guidance to customers all over the world, and this is why they are always close to you when you need their services.

Offshore Design

Force personnel are specialists in the design of offshore structures and are able to draw upon more than 20 years' experience. As a result, you will have an expert sparring partner during the important initial design phase - at the time when you really can save enormous amounts of money through skilled planning and fore thought. Among other things, we attend to:

•  Wind force and calculations

•  Design of helicopter landing pads

•  Modelling of exhaust gases

•  Numerical modelling

•  Drawbench testing

•  Continuous monitoring

•  Offshore simulation.

Ship Stability & Movement

Force have the knowledge and tools necessary to safely guide you through all phases of the construction of a ship. Whether it is a car ferry, a container ship or a cruise ship. Their knowledge is your guarantee for a design, which is optimal when it comes to safety, stability, manoeuvrebility and saving fuel. We use e.g. the following tools when we take on a project:

•  CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)

•  Numerical methods

•  PMM (Planar Motion Mechanism)

•  Stability training

•  Aerodynamics

•  Flow visualisation.

•   Wind Engineering

Wind is one of the natural phenomenons, which has the greatest impact on both ships and offshore facilities. Therefore, it is a matter of great importance, safety and economy wise, to be able to analyse the forces of nature, which are present under certain circumstances. For that purpose Force use their own wind tunnels, in which they expose exact models of your ship or maritime construction to the forces of nature.
